Yoomi sells out at The Baby Show!!
Phew – what a weekend!
The Baby Show at ExCel proved a huge success with us selling out of yoomi’s by Saturday afternoon – we did of course re-stock to please the crowds, but we were cleared out again by the time the show finished on Sunday!
The yoomi team took the opportunity to showcase the much-anticipated ’2 minute microwave charging pod’ – due for launch this summer. 500 of our Baby Show customers will receive a FREE pod (forms were completed on the yoomi stand) – if you are one of the lucky ones we’ll be in touch really soon!
It was also a great opportunity to meet our existing customers and hear how yoomi makes night feeds easier, helps when travelling and allows dads (and grandparents) help mums out with feeding. It was also lovely to meet lots of expectant mums and dads – we’re looking forward to hearing more tales of yoomi saving the day :)
As you may already know, yoomi is supporting Tamba (Twins And Multiple Birth Association) this year and used The Baby Show as a platform for fundraising. For every Limited Edition coloured collar and ‘Twin Kit’ sold, yoomi made a donation to Tamba.

The Baby Show, Earls Court 2011
Last weekend was The Baby Show at Earls Court, London, and yoomi decided last minute that we couldn’t miss out on being there.
The baby shows are a great opportunity to let parents (& parents to be!)
‘feel the warmth’ of yoomi – holding the warmer in their hands and feeling the warmth in just 60 seconds always gets a fantastic reaction!
What we also love about the shows is meeting the mums and dads and seeing what other great products are coming into the market.
We had loads of visitors, plenty of existing customers which was great, and also a few of our Facebook ‘fans’ popped along to say hi, which was just lovely.
We also had some media interest and it was great to see a blog post on Monday morning claiming the yoomi was ‘one of the best products of the show’ – thanks to Lauren, who writes about life as a mum on her ‘Spud and Spike’ blog.

Jim is back!
So it’s been a busy couple of weeks for yoomi, for Jim in particular who has been away at not one, but two trade exhibitions abroad.
The first trip was to Cologne in Germany (a lovely city and recommended for a weekend break by Abbie!) for the largest baby trade show in Europe – Kind & Jugend.
The second (and longer) trip took Jim to the US for the ABC Kids Expo trade show.
Both trips were a huge success – the aim was to build contacts and relations with potential distributors across nations and we came away with some new partners – all to be revealed very soon.
For now, we’ll leave you with a picture of our lovely Kind & Jugend stand in action – small yet very effective…..
